Sadist fuzz (new green)
High gain all germanium fuzz.
The Sadist fuzz pedal embodies a vintage aesthetic, crafted using several NOS (New Old Stock) components that contribute to its authentic old-school tone. Built point to point style on eyeletboard.
The pedal features intuitive control layout for precise tone shaping. On the left, the gain knob allows you to adjust the amount of fuzz and sustain, from subtle overdrive to rich, saturated distortion. The right side houses the volume knob.
Centered between these is a small tone-cut knob, designed to fine-tune your treble response and shape the brightness of your sound, helping to dial in exactly the tonal character you want. Additionally, a hi/low toggle switch offers quick access to two distinct gain voicings, allowing you to switch between a smoother, lower-gain setting and a more aggressive, higher-gain mode. In low gain mode, the toggle also cuts some low-end response, allowing it to play good with muddier neck pickups or high gain humbuckers.
This pedal is designed with an input buffer, allowing it to accept other pedals in the signal chain before its placement. It features midrange-focused output, providing a robust volume that can easily drive preamps.
An essential aspect of its design is the careful measurement, matching, and testing of all transistors to minimize noise and enhance performance.
Sized at 120x94x38 mm, the Sadist fuzz requires a standard 9V center-negative power supply and can be daisy-chained with regular boss-type pedals.
